Coursework in digital privacy, policy, and cyberlaw examines how technical decisions affect individuals, businesses, and society, a perspective that matters more than ever as organizations weigh the promise and the risks of artificial intelligence. Through team projects and hands-on lab assignments, you'll work the way professionals do: collaboratively, under realistic conditions, and communicating clearly.
Everything comes together in a one-semester senior capstone. Working in a small team, you'll design, build, and evaluate a complete cybersecurity solution for a real-world problem or client scenario, practicing the project planning, documentation, and client-facing communication that employers expect from cybersecurity professionals. Graduates leave ready for careers in secure software development, penetration testing, incident response, digital forensics, and security engineering, or for graduate study and industry certifications.

The B.S. in Cybersecurity is a 128-credit program that balances a strong computer science foundation, specialized security coursework, mathematics and science, and the Manhattan University liberal arts core.
Students choose two advanced security electives from a growing list that includes Web Security, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Technologies, and Special Topics in Security, a rotating course covering emerging areas such as software security, data security and privacy, wireless and mobile security, and cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Cybersecurity Electives & Minor:
Computing Electives: An additional computing elective lets students deepen their technical range with courses such as Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning and Generative AI, Cloud Computing and Virtualization, Data Mining, and Python Programming.
Capstone: The program culminates in the Cybersecurity Capstone, a team-based senior project in which students design, implement, and present a significant applied security solution for a real-world problem or client scenario.
AI Minor: Pair your major with the Minor in Artificial Intelligence, open to all majors with tailored pathways for students with or without programming experience, and graduate fluent in both securing intelligent systems and building them.
