Your student will have access to community service projects in our local Bronx and Riverdale neighborhood, as well as service-immersion trips that take students into unfamiliar cultures in the U.S. and abroad to learn about social justice through hands-on service work.

Your student will not get lost in the crowd at Manhattan University. With an 11:1 undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio and an average class size of 18.1 students, our faculty know students individually and form mentoring relationships that often extend long beyond graduation.
Manhattan offers numerous undergraduate research programs that allow students to collaborate with faculty on original research, write academic papers, and present at professional conferences. These are opportunities many universities reserve for graduate students. Our Center for Graduate School and Fellowship Advisement supports students preparing for graduate study, and every student is paired with a dedicated academic advisor who meets with them regularly to discuss course registration, majors and minors, and career goals.

As You Evaluate Manhattan University
- Visit campus together so you both can see Manhattan firsthand
- Attend an open house or an admitted student event
- Meet your admissions counselor and ask questions specific to your student's intended program
- Compare cost, financial aid, and the Jasper Guarantee tuition lock with other schools your student is considering
After Your Student Commits
- File the FAFSA together as early as October 1
- Review the financial aid offer and any merit scholarship details
- Help your student set up their email, applicant portal, and orientation account
- Attend Family Weekend and other on-campus events
- Join Jasper Families to connect with other Manhattan families before move-in
