You will also be encouraged to explore experiential learning opportunities as a way to engage with potential career pathways, including study abroad, internships, our professional alumni mentoring program and research. Research with faculty is an integral component of our academic offerings. The small classes and close student-faculty interactions in the Manhattan University Kakos School of Arts and Sciences generates an atmosphere conducive to research opportunities, and we expect that all students will take advantage of these within their major areas of study. The research experiences will help you to deepen your understanding of a particular area of interest, while developing a collaborative relationship with your faculty mentor. Many of our students who participate in research opportunities with faculty receive stipends and awards to support their work. If you engage in student-faculty mentored research, you may even publish your work or present your work at regional, national or international conferences and workshops alongside your professors!
As you embark on your undergraduate academic career in the Manhattan University Kakos School of Arts and Sciences, you will sow the seeds of future success and service to society. The scientific methods, intellectual traditions and deep histories you will study will enable you to contribute in innovative and strategic ways to a rapidly evolving world. You will build lifelong relationships within our community of scholars, be challenged academically and be afforded unique opportunities that will prepare you for a lifetime of social responsibility and professional achievement.
Sincerely,
