Manhattan University has partnered with IBM SkillsBuild to provide training in emerging key technology areas for our students.

Manhattan University is thrilled to announce our new partnership with IBM SkillsBuild, a program designed to prepare students for the future through skills in AI, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. With IBM SkillsBuild at Manhattan, students will take online courses to earn professional digital badges through Credly that they can list on a resume and LinkedIn profile.

Participanting students also have access to monthly IBM “Tech Talks” and IBM technology for advanced practical applications through this program.

  • The All-Freshmen Initiative

From their very first day, freshman students can gain real-world tech skills and credentials that employers are actively seeking.

With IBM SkillsBuild’s “All Freshmen Initiative,” our first-year students are required to take the 3-hour “Getting Started with Artificial Intelligence” course. Once the badge is earned for this course, students will be able to apply for paid, project-based micro internships with a range of companies like Johnson and Johnson, Lenovo, and HubSpot.
