Curriculum & Courses
The Spanish and Latin American Studies major requires 30 credits, with most coursework at the 300 and 400 level. All majors complete a grammar course (Advanced Grammar or Spanish Translation) and Topics in Hispanic Literature, and take at least 9 credits at the 400 level. Courses span language, literature, film, and culture across Spain, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Spanish and Latin American Studies Minor:
A 15-credit sequence beyond the introductory level, open to students in all schools, with no more than 6 credits at the 200 level. Up to 6 credits of 300- and 400-level coursework may transfer from an approved study abroad program.
