Choose Your Path in Physics
Psychology at Manhattan University is offered as a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Science, and a minor, with two additional ways to specialize. Your academic advisor and the department chair will help you select the path that best fits your career goals and interests.
Bachelor of Science in Psychology
The B.S. requires 33 credits in psychology, with an added course in the cognitive neurosciences, plus a science sequence in biology and a choice of anatomy and physiology, chemistry, or physics. It suits students aiming for graduate study or science-focused careers. Entry requires permission of the chairperson or a qualifying math placement score.
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
The B.A. requires 30 credits in psychology, including the core sequence and one course from each of six distribution areas. Its flexibility pairs well with a second major or minor in fields such as education, communication, or business.

Minors & Concentrations in Psychology
Minor in Psychology
A 15-credit sequence, including an introductory course and 12 additional psychology credits, that complements nearly any major. Students consult with the department chair and complete a minor declaration form.
Optional Concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology
For psychology majors who want to specialize in workplace psychology, this optional concentration adds coursework in industrial and organizational psychology, psychological testing, and applied research or internship experience.
Minor in Neuroscience
An 18-credit interdisciplinary minor combining psychology and biology, focused on the development, structure, and function of the brain and nervous system and their impact on behavior and cognition across the lifespan.
