Student Life
Office of Student Engagement
Student Engagement is where campus life comes together. Join a club or organization, take part in events, explore New York City and connect with fellow Jaspers through experiences planned by students, for students.
Along the way, you’ll build leadership, teamwork and other skills that will serve you well long after graduation.
Get Involved. Find Your Community.
The Office of Student Engagement provides opportunities for student involvement through membership in clubs and organizations, and through participation in on-campus events and excursions off campus. The vast majority of our events are planned by students for students, with the assistance of our staff.
In addition to having fun, the Office of Student Engagement also helps you develop vital life skills, such as assertiveness, effective leadership, teamwork, financial management, and commitment.
The Office of Student Engagement is composed of three areas:
- Student Development: Oversees clubs, Student Government, leadership development opportunities and campus-wide programs such as Manhattan Madness, Lessons and Carols, Constitution Day and Springfest.
- Performing Arts: Oversees all performing arts groups
- Recreation & Intramurals: Oversees all recreation and intramural opportunities
