Hany Guirguis, Ph.D., Assumes Leadership Position

Manhattan University proudly welcomes the well-known author Justin Torres to its Riverdale campus as part of the University’s Major Author Reading Series (MARS).

Manhattan University announced that a new Health Sciences Major will take effect in the Fall Semester of 2025. It will be housed in the Kinesiology Department led by Dr. Shawn Ladda.

Manhattan University is thrilled to recognize Brianna Armstrong for receiving the “Top Performer” award of university employees across all 145 Air Force ROTC detachments countrywide.

Manhattan University sadly announced the passing of John “Jack” Powers ’58, a legendary New York City basketball figure who led Manhattan University (then Manhattan College) to the NCAA tournament twice and the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), defeating nationally-ranked West Virginia University and Jerry West in the 1958 NCAA Tournament.  In his senior year, team captain Powers concluded his collegiate career with 1,139 points.

The bestselling author and Manhattan alumnus continues his long-standing support for his alma mater.
