Construction surpassed its halfway mark on our newest addition to campus, the Higgins Engineering & Science Center, and we reflected on our Lasallian Catholic faith in celebrating #300LaSalle, a worldwide campaign recognizing the eternal life of Saint John Baptist de La Salle. The Digital Arts and Humanities (DAsH) program launched as a minor in fall 2019 to make students more employable after graduation by having them take classes across the disciplines in the School of Liberal Arts and in business.

John McAvoy ’80, chairman and CEO of Con Edison, announced at the 2019 De La Salle Dinner in February that a Con Edison Endowed Scholarship would be created at the College. The award's first recipient is Nicholas Rogalewski ’20, an electrical engineering major.

Student-athletes from the men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and softball teams moved into the Gaelic Park Athletic Center (GPAC) in August. The new facility includes locker rooms, offices, and a training room.

Together by association with our Lasallian Catholic network, we took part in #300LaSalle, a Jubilee Year campaign celebrating the eternal life of our founder, Saint John Baptist de La Salle. Throughout 2019, faculty and students reflected on what the 300th anniversary of the death of Saint John Baptist De La Salle (April 30, 1719) means to them.

The College gathered with schools and ministries in the New York City area to celebrate 10 years of the District of Eastern North America (DENA), our geographic Lasallian Catholic network. Headlining the event from La Salle University was Superior General Robert Schieler, FSC., leader of the Institute for the Brothers of the Christian Schools.

Thanks to filmmaking skills being developed in a newly added mobile production unit, Communication students in the sports media production concentration began broadcasting all home basketball games for the men's and women's teams on ESPN streaming services. Go, Jaspers!

The Experiencing Veterans and Artists Collaboration (EVAC) art project, which features the stories of Manhattan alumni Kirsten Battocchio '18 and Michael Giraldo '19 went on display in midtown Manhattan's Flatiron Building. The showcase on display until early January and has received critical acclaim and praise by NYC media. Watch the clip on news outlet NY1.
