Club Sports

The Recreation and Wellness Division of the Office of Student Engagement sponsors club sports for men’s, women’s and co-ed teams. These teams compete against other colleges and universities locally and nationally.

Cheerleading

The Manhattan University Cheer Team attends every home game for both the men’s and women’s basketball games. The team performs cheers on the sidelines to engage the crowd and performs routines during timeouts. They also travel with both basketball teams during post-season play and tournaments. Some experience in cheerleading is recommended to join, but all students are welcomed to tryout.

Esports

The Manhattan University Esports Team is a co-ed competitive team. Four games are offered to students: League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The team competes in weekly matches against other MAAC schools. At the end of the season the team competes in the MAAC Championship Tournament. Experience in Esports is encouraged, but all students are welcome to tryout for all teams.

Dance

The Manhattan University Jasper Dancers are a club Division 1 university dance team that compete both locally and nationally. The team performs at all home men’s and women’s basketball games and attend post- season tournaments for the teams. The MU Dancers compete in Jazz and Hip Hop at Nationals in Daytona, Florida every year.

Men’s Rowing

Men’s Club Rowing is one of the longest-running clubs at Manhattan University. It was established in 1932 and is one of the founding schools of the Dad Vail Regatta. Our rowers’ technique and endurance are further strengthened during training trips during winter and/or spring break.

Our Men’s Club Rowing team is open to any interested male athlete of any level who is willing to learn and compete at a collegiate level. Novice events are open to new rowers or rowers new to collegiate rowing. Previous rowing experience is not required.

Flag Football

Welcome to our new men's Flag Football Club team! The Manhattan University Flag Football team is a club that competes locally against other institutions, as well as at the Region I NIRSA Tournament. All students are welcomed to tryout, no experience is required, but is recommended.
