Bachelor’s Degree Programs - Radiation Therapy

Admissions Requirements

  • Students are encouraged to apply by March to be considered in the priority interview round for the immediate fall semester start. Or by October, for the immediate spring semester start
  • Applicants typically have a GPA average of 2.75 out of 4.0 equivalent. Other factors such as work experience and GPA on most recently taken courses will be considered for applicants with lower than a 2.75.
  • Ideally, applicants should have a good understanding of the career and job responsibilities.

The following documents are required:

  • Application form
  • Application fee ($75)
  • Official High School and University Transcript(s)
  • Written statement of interest in program
  • Professional or Academic Recommendation 
  • Resume

*Please note: as per University policy, students are no longer required to submit SAT or ACT scores with their application materials.

Interview Requirement

  • An interview with the radiological and health professions interview committee is required. For applicants that meet the above requirements, you will be contacted by the committee to set up an interview. Priority interviews take place in April and November.

Job-Shadowing Requirement

  • Job shadowing hours in a radiation therapy or nuclear medicine department prior to enrollment is required. The applicant is required to write a one-page reflection paper on their job shadowing experience detailing what they learned and how it affects their career path goals.

    • Pre-Calculus                                               3 Credits

You must have authorization from the ISSS Director at Manhattan University before you begin a paid or unpaid internship or any other form of practicum. F-1 students cannot engage in employment or practice until you receive your SEVIS I-20 with the CPT endorsement. Any internship, paid or unpaid, must be authorized before you start up with a placement! Beginning an internship or practicum without proper CPT authorization is a violation of immigration regulations and can have serious consequences.
