The Manhattan University Council for Faculty Affairs (CFA), first convened in 1972, is “a means by which faculty, through elected representatives, participate in the government of the university in those matters that are the proper jurisdiction of the faculty.”
The faculty has primary responsibility for such fundamental areas as curriculum, subject matter and methods of instruction, research, faculty status, and those aspects of student life which relate to the educational process.
Membership
Full time faculty who have been at the university for three years can be elected to the CFA to represent 20 areas of the university as listed below:
