Manhattan College today announced that Kristell Lowe has been named Vice President of Student Life. The Paris, France native comes to the College with an extensive background in the luxury hospitality industry coupled with campus operations in higher education. She will report directly to the College President and serve as a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet.

Her focus on hospitality and service gained through two decades of experience at some of the leading properties in the world and her most recent position as Vice President of Campus Operations at Lynn University will greatly enhance the experiences that we offer our students. Her enthusiasm and eagerness to meet with as many students as possible and discuss their needs will bring a much-needed culture of service to the entire campus.”
Added Lowe, “I am eager to bring to Manhattan College what I have learned throughout my hospitality and higher education career. As an extremely hands-on person, I will be a visible presence on the beautiful Riverdale campus, interested in learning about our students’ needs and preferences in all aspects of their college lives. While their academic performances are paramount, it is of vital importance to give them an environment outside the classroom that is of the highest quality. It is my goal to make our students feel comfortable, cared for, and placed in a position to thrive. My family and I are thrilled to be joining the Jasper community.”
Among her responsibilities, Lowe will help foster student engagement, resident life and Athletics as well as oversee conferences and events and the Dean of Students. She will also focus on both residential and commuter students at the College.
Lowe served as Vice President of Campus Operations at Lynn University (FL) where she oversaw events, dining services, and performing arts operations, among other items. Her hospitality background includes her tenure as Vice President of Operations at Performance Hospitality Management, General Manager of Carillon Miami Wellness Resort; Director of Rooms for W South Beach, the flagship property for the W brand; and Director of Front Office at the iconic St. Regis New York. She is fluent in four languages: French (native speaker), English, Spanish and Italian.
Lowe holds an MBA in Financial Valuation and Investment Management from Lynn University; a BS in Finance and Hotel Management from Université d’Evry Val d’Essonne, Paris; and an Associate Degree in Italian Culture, Language, and Literature from Université de La Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris.
She lives with her husband and three children in New York City and is a competitive triathlete and a leisure equestrian.
