Manhattan College's Summer Engineering Awareness Program continues to receive accolades.

Manhattan College Summer Engineering ProgramThe Root, a subsidiary of Univision Communications, recently spotlighted Manhattan College’s Summer Engineering Awareness Program as one of 10 standout summer campus for students of color.

At Manhattan College’s Summer Engineering Awareness Program, which typically runs various sessions from late June to late July, upcoming high school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to become more exposed to the engineering field through presentations from guest speakers; experiments in mechanical (aerospace and energy), civil, electrical, environmental (water filtration) and computer engineering; class lectures; and the college admission process.

Directed by Walter P. Saukin, Ph.D., associate professor of civil engineering at Manhattan College, the program also explores engineering careers in the fields of law, business, medicine and education.

All students interested in applying for the summer of 2017 should contact Dr. Saukin at (718) 862-7171 or email janet.horgan@manhattan.edu.
