Since 1930, Manhattan University has been awarding noteworthy students with membership into this “honorary society whose members have been selected on the basis of distinction in curricular and extracurricular fields of university life." Pen & Sword Honor Society has had a rich tradition of influencing campus affairs and upholding its own merits in order to inspire future members. The objective of the society is to recognize the diversity of leadership that exists at the University - distinguishing those who consistently display leadership in a variety of clubs, athletic programs and academic areas. We are seeking students who display excellence in leadership both inside and outside of the classroom. These students might be noticed leading class discussions, assisting their peers, or pursuing academic interests beyond their classes. Many of these students will be actively involved in clubs and activities and show enthusiasm for the Lasallian mission of Manhattan University.
