Pi Tau Sigma Seal

Pi Tau Sigma recognizes outstanding achievement of undergraduate students in mechanical engineering, and honors practicing engineers for distinguished technical attainments. The society seeks to:

  • foster the high ideals of the engineering profession
  • stimulate and coordinate departmental activities
  • instill in its members a sense of responsibility and leadership

The Manhattan College Sigma Tau chapter was installed in 1967.

Eligibility

Active members are chosen from students in mechanical engineering on the basis of engineering ability, scholarship and personality. They are selected from the top third of the junior class with a 3.2 minimum GPA. Faculty and graduates may be chosen on the basis of distinguished engineering endeavor.
