Overview

I am a financial economist and the Gabriel Hauge Associate Professor of Economics at the O’Malley School of Business of Manhattan College. I received my Ph.D. in Economics (with concentration in Financial Economics and Development Economics) from The City University of New York, Graduate Center. I also hold a M.Sc. in Applied Economics & Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a B.A. in Economics (with concentration in Finance and Mathematics) from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (UOA).

My research interests include theoretical and empirical work on wealth inequality, risk & uncertainty and investor’s behavior and how they affect asset pricing. I also explore topics related to financial literacy, as well as sources of external finance and how they relate to economic growth and development.

Prior to my doctoral studies in the U.S., I worked as a research associate for a leading think tank in Greece (IOBE).
