Center for Academic Success
Whether you’re catching up on missed lectures, brushing up on your writing or working on your study and test-taking skills, we’re here to help. The Center for Academic Success offers students a quiet place to study with their peer tutor, or engage in small group study sessions. We also offer workshops and have an open door policy with extended hours to accommodate all students.
Counseling
Personal issues can have a profound impact on your educational goals. That’s why we provide free counseling services to all of our students. Our Counseling Center is accredited by the International Association of Counseling, Inc. Manhattan University is among only 18 of 217 institutions of higher education in the New York State to have this distinction.
Dining
Campus meal plans are available to keep you fueled, caffeinated and on the go, whether you’re a resident or commuter student. Our flexible plans and various campus dining settings — from all-you-can-eat to grab-and-go — feature healthy, delicious and convenient options.
Fitness Center
As a graduate student at Manhattan, there’s no need to join a pricey gym. You will have free access to our new 5,215-square-foot Fitness Center with an active Manhattan University ID card. The Fitness Center features state-of-the-art Precor cardio and strength equipment, 18 circuit stations, two functional training stations as well as a free weights station. You will also have access to free exercise classes and programs as well as inexpensive personal training sessions provided by nationally certified trainers.
Housing
We understand that graduate students have a particular set of needs that are only sometimes met while living with undergraduate students. Beginning in the Fall of 2023, Manhattan University is excited to offer Graduate Student housing in Jasper Hall. These facilities come with single-room traditional-style accommodations, which include free laundry, high-speed wireless internet, and all utilities. Residents of Jasper Hall also have access to a large study/collaborative learning space on the ground floor and a large recreational community lounge on the second floor. Graduate Housing is offered for 12-month contract periods (from August to August) to accommodate many exciting internship and research opportunities you might take advantage of while attending college in New York City.
Library
Early birds and night owls rejoice! The Mary Alice and Tom O’Malley Library provides all students with free, 24/7 access to print materials, computers and printers, online databases and more during the academic year. Our facilities include group study and media rooms, exhibit space and access to more than 230,000 volumes, 3,000 media items, and 20,000 periodical titles in various formats.
Office of Career Pathways
As a graduate student, will have access to our Career Development resources, which include internship opportunities and job postings. No matter where life takes you, we’ll help you figure out the next step in your career.
Religious Services
From Mass to meditation to Jummah Prayer and beyond, Campus Ministry & Social Action helps create a community where people of all traditions — and those who are questioning where they fit — will find a companion for their spiritual journey.
