The Program:

Adventure: Enjoy a thrilling baseball game, making memories that will last a lifetime.

Live at Manhattan University: Participants will reside at the picturesque Manhattan University campus, providing a true experience. Participants must be in their rooms no later than 10:30 pm and follow the university’s student code of conduct.

Baseball Clinic and Literacy Classes: Engage in a comprehensive baseball clinic, sharpening your skills under expert guidance.

Dive into enriching classes on how to successfully apply to colleges and universities. Courses will be led by distinguished bi-lingual (English/Spanish) faculty members from Manhattan University.

In the class, students will build critical and personal writing skills by exploring and examining baseball, the great American pastime.

The workshop's goal is to sharpen a range of rhetorical techniques—from grammar and syntax to structure and coherence—that will equip students with the requirements for writing clear, polished, and interesting university-level prose.

The sport of baseball represents an historical, economic, and cultural force in our lives, and provides this workshop with a rich direction to explore. By the end of the week, our newly polished writers will produce a personal essay on the game they came to play - informed by critical perspectives on both the game and on the writing process.

Diverse Activities: Beyond baseball and writing support, explore various activities organized by our baseball coaches at Manhattan University throughout the week.
