Lambda Pi Eta is the National Communication Association’s official honor society. It recognizes students of communication who attain outstanding scholastic achievement in the field.

The Psi Beta chapter of Lambda Pi Eta was established at Manhattan University in 2008. The chapter seeks to:

  • stimulate interest in the field of communication
  • promote and encouraging professional development among communication majors
  • provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication
  • establish and maintain closer relationships between faculty and students
  • foster exploration of options for graduate education in communication studies

Eligibility

To qualify for membership, undergraduates must have:

  • a minimum 3.5 GPA in the communication major
  • a minimum 3.0 GPA overall average in all courses
  • junior or senior class standing
