U.S. News and World Report

The University ranked 22nd in the U.S. News and World Report rankings of the nation’s best regional colleges and universities in the North. 

Manhattan University is designated as one of the top-ranked schools in the 2025 Best Colleges rankings that participate in federal initiatives helping veterans and active-duty service members pay for their degrees.

Additionally, the School of Engineering was ranked among the top 50 undergraduate engineering programs in the nation that do not offer a doctorate.

Washington Monthly listed Manhattan University as the top chemical engineering school for women in STEM. The study measured the gender distribution of every STEM program at colleges and universities across the country.

Manhattan University today announced that it was recognized as the 52nd best college in the U.S out of 500, according to The Wall Street Journal’s 2025 Best Colleges in the U.S ranking, placing the University in the top 10%.

The University achieved an impressive overall score of 80/100, further solidifying its commitment to student success, academic excellence, and future job readiness.

When ranked by salary, the University placed in the top 4% for the salary impact for its graduates relative to tuition costs. The University also scored salary impact score of 99/100 and an average value added to graduate salary of $59,669.

Manhattan earned the distinction of being one of the nation's 
best institutions for undergraduates, and one of the best colleges, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company profiles and recommends Manhattan in the 2025 edition of its annual college guide, The Best 390 Colleges.

Manhattan University has achieved significant recognition in the Military Times 2024 Best for Vets: Colleges rankings, rising to 85th overall out of 304 schools—an impressive jump from its previous position at 218. In the regional "Northeast & Islands" category, Manhattan University also made remarkable strides, now ranking 6th, up from 27th last year. This recognition reflects the University’s commitment to supporting veteran students through tailored programs, resources, and a community dedicated to their success.

For the 10th consecutive year Manhattan University has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School and reached Gold Status for the 2024-2025 academic year.
