CMSA and Our LGBTQ+ Community
Manhattan University and CMSA welcomes the gifts, participation and leadership of our LGBTQ+ community members in every facet our of programming and community life. We seek to be a refuge for all those who are on their journey of growth and self-discovery, as they come to know and understand themselves fully as God's creation. Like Jesus, we stand with those pushed to the margins because of their race, identity, creed, beliefs, and personhood. We welcome our LGBTQ+ siblings in our campus community.
In addition, the tradition of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the Brothers of the Christian Schools encourages Manhattan University faculty, staff, and students to live out the five Lasallian Core Principles. The Lasallian Core Principles include: Faith in the Presence of God, Respect for all Persons, Inclusive Community, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, and Quality Education. Inclusion and respect call us to welcome all people into our campus community.
The following are resources for our Jasper Community as we seek to better know, understand, and love our LGBTQ+ siblings as God calls us to do:
