A New Chapter of Leadership at Manhattan University
Manhattan University proudly celebrated the inauguration of its 22nd President, Frederick Bonato, Ph.D., on Monday, October 20, 2025. The ceremony, held at 2:00 p.m., marked a significant moment in the University’s history and formally recognized Dr. Bonato’s leadership.
After serving as interim president beginning in 2024, Dr. Bonato brought a steady, student-centered approach to the role, with a focus on supporting first-generation learners and honoring the University’s legacy families. With more than 30 years of experience in higher education, his inauguration marked the beginning of a new chapter grounded in Lasallian values and a shared commitment to innovation, inclusion, and academic excellence.
The event brought together members of the University community to reflect on Manhattan’s mission and to look ahead with a renewed sense of purpose.
