Manhattan University Names Parisa Saboori, Ph.D., Associate Dean of the School of Engineering
A veteran educator and researcher, Saboori will advance innovation, experiential learning and industry partnerships across engineering.

RIVERDALE, N.Y. — Manhattan University has appointed Parisa Saboori, Ph.D., professor and chair of mechanical engineering, as associate dean of the School of Engineering.
Saboori brings more than two decades of experience in engineering education, research and academic leadership to the role. As department chair, she has strengthened academic programs, modernized laboratory facilities, expanded experiential learning and developed partnerships with industry and alumni. Her leadership has broadened opportunities for students in biomechanics, robotics, advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
“I am very pleased to welcome Dr. Saboori into the Dean’s Office,” said Kathryn Jablokow, Ph.D., dean of the School of Engineering. “Dr. Saboori brings a wealth of creative ideas, institutional wisdom and dedication to the student experience that will support the ongoing transformation of the School. I am excited to be working with her.”
An accomplished researcher, Saboori focuses her work on biomechanics and traumatic brain injury. Her research has been published in leading journals and presented at national and international conferences. Beyond the University, she serves on the Board of Governors of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and is an ASME Fellow.
