Dr. David Bollert, an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Religion & Philosophy, directs Manhattan University’s Veterans Success Program.
Said Dr. Bollert, “We are incredibly proud of the range of opportunities we offer our student veterans here at Manhattan University. The rankings we achieved this year are a testament to the faculty, administration, and, of course, the students themselves in fostering a genuine sense of community, which is vital to this special section of students. Our Veterans Success Center, a welcoming and centrally-located place on campus, offers our student veterans a dedicated spot to gather, socialize, study, and feel at home.”
“The student veteran community, which includes approximately 65 members, benefits the entire campus,” continued Dr. Bollert. “Student veterans can draw upon their military experiences during classroom discussions, often providing their peers who have not served with a different perspective when considering a given topic. Additionally, the maturity, discipline, and dedication to service embodied by many of our veteran students are worthy characteristics for all Jaspers to emulate.”
