Manhattan University today announced that Lisa Chase-Hernandez has been named the new Executive Director of Marketing. In this position, she will oversee a team of marketing, web development, social media, digital assets, and publications and editorial services professionals. She will report to Stephen Pugliese, Ph.D., the Chief of Staff in the President’s Office who also is serving as the Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Chase-Hernandez, a native of Wilmington, DE, brings close to two decades of marketing experience, having most recently served as the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning for the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York.

Chase-Hernandez worked at the Mount Sinai Health System for more than 10 years where she managed strategic marketing plans, deliverables, and data for digital/social media, press, and print collateral. While at Montefiore Health System in the Bronx, prior to her tenure at Mount Siani, she assisted with increasing website traffic by 600% and created and launched the virtual tour at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Her journalism background includes working for the New York Daily News where she wrote feature stories and health-related articles.
She is a graduate of Villanova University where she received her BS/BA and St. John’s University where she received her MBA in Finance. She earned a Business Law Certificate from Vanderbilt University and won seven Aster Awards and two Healthcare Marketing Excellence Awards from the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society of Greater New York. She is a Krav Maga Level 4 (Israeli martial art), has traveled extensively, and speaks colloquial Spanish.
