Manhattan College’s O’Malley School of Business (OMSB) reaffirmed its accreditation for all the business degree programs from the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International Board of Directors. The highly-respected association is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctorate degrees in business and accounting.
“I am thrilled that OMSB is maintaining the AACSB accreditation for another six years.” said Hany Guirguis, dean of the School of Business. “This impressive achievement places our school among only six percent of business schools worldwide that have earned AACSB accreditation. Under the leadership of President Milo Riverso and Provost Rani Roy, this prestigious recognition is a testament to our incredible staff and the academic excellence and dedication our faculty has for our students as well as our business community.”
To reaffirm its AACSB accreditation, the O’Malley School of Business must align to the Guiding Principles of AACSB in developing high quality business programs. During the accreditation review period, OMSB faculty produced 503 intellectual contributions, including 116 peer-reviewed journal articles and 182 conference presentations. Within the past five years, 12 faculty members have served as Editors, Associate Editors, or on the Editorial Board of journals within their disciplines.
Milo Riverso, Ph.D., P.E. President of Manhattan College said, “The prestigious AACSB accreditation is well-earned. Our dedicated faculty led by Dean Guirguis does an exceptional job of creating an innovative business learning environment where students can thrive and take advantage of an extensive alumni network that provides opportunities in New York City and beyond.”
