Manhattan College today announced that Meredith Gatzke joined the school on March 11, 2024 as the Vice President of Human Resources/Chief Human Resources Officer.
Ms. Gatzke brings to the school a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of Human Resources. Prior to joining Manhattan College, she served as the Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development/Title IX Coordinator for Bergen Community College (NJ). As a member of the President’s Executive Council, she advised executive leadership on human capital, policy development, and employee and labor relations; negotiated and administered the College’s collective bargaining agreements; collaborated with all divisions and staff to ensure transparency regarding human resources initiatives and strategic goals; oversaw a fully implemented ADP Workforce Now software system that fully integrated compensation, payroll, benefits, recruitment, and onboarding systems along with the student system to automate all payroll functions; and developed the first culture and climate survey in the history of the college.
Prior to her engagement at Bergen Community College, Ms. Gatzke was the Director of Employee Relations and Organizational Development/Affirmative Action Officer/HIB Administrator for Randolph Township Schools, the Human Resources Director/Affirmative Action Officer for the Paramus Board of Education, and a Human Resources Generalist/Benefits Coordinator for The School District of the Chatams, all in New Jersey.
She holds professional memberships in numerous human resources organizations and was honored with the CIANJ Enterprising Women Award in 2022. Ms. Gatzke holds an MS degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Elizabeth University and a BA in History from Muhlenberg College.
