A Festival of Lessons and Carols Ushers in Advent with Annual Time-Honored Tradition

Manhattan College Singers and Orchestra return with timeless sounds of the season at this year’s holiday celebration.

On Sunday, December 3, the Manhattan College Singers and Orchestra will host A Festival of Lessons and Carols in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers on the Manhattan College campus. Lessons and Carols

The event is free and open to the Manhattan College community and the general public. No tickets are required.

This beloved Manhattan College tradition is an hour-long annual celebration of the Advent season that features scripture readings, holiday classics performed by the orchestra, and Christmas hymns and carols sung by the choral singers. The festival customarily concludes with a candlelit prayer that illuminates the entire chapel.

Doors open at 3 p.m. Preludes will begin at 3:30 p.m., and the festival will start at 4 p.m

For those who are unable to attend, the event will be live streamed on Manhattan College’s YouTube page and on the homepage of the College’s website.
