Goldie Adele, J.D., has joined Manhattan College as the head of the newly constituted office of College Compliance and Ethics.
At Manhattan College, Adele has already spearheaded the launch of PolicyStat, a platform to centralize and update all College policies, while ensuring those policies are in compliance with College regulations.
He is also charged with building collaborative relationships and establishing a regular process for reporting with College departments that have compliance responsibilities, including the provost, chief financial officer, Controller’s office, Human Resources, Internet Technology Services, Athletics, Financial Aid, and Health Services, among others.
Adele comes to the College with more than 18 years of experience in higher education compliance and the law. Most recently, he served as assistant general counsel at the University of Hartford. Prior to that, he was director of the Disability Resource Center at Southern Connecticut State University for nearly a decade.
Adele began his professional career at Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, where he received his law degree. At the Cooley School of Law, Adele was the coordinator of student services and diversity programs for eight and a half years.
Adele earned a B.A. in political science from Temple University, a J.D. from Western Michigan and an M.S. from Southern Connecticut State University.
