Unsure about Halloween plans this year? You are in luck! New York City is home to some of the most historic and spookiest Halloween events in the state. Be sure to check out some of the events taking place this season:

  • The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze

    This annual massive blaze returns this year to both its Hudson Valley and Long Island locations. The Hudson Valley Blaze will take place at Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, and Blaze: Long Island will also return to Old Bethpage Village Restoration in Old Bethpage. Enjoy thousands of hand-carved jack o’lanterns, music and lights throughout two historic landscapes. Blaze Hudson Valley will run from September 17 through November 21, and Long Island will run from September 22- November 7. Tickets sell fast so buy yours here today!
  • The Village Halloween Parade

    The Village Halloween Parade, one of NYC’s best Halloween events, is coming back this year. The parade invites you to join the thousands of ghouls, monsters, zombies and witches for a night of costumes, music and laughter. The Vintage Halloween parade will take place on Sunday, October 31 at 7pm, and will go from Spring Street in SoHo up to 16th Street in Chelsea. Find more information about the parade here.
  • Halloween Harvest Festival at Socrates Sculpture Park

    Head to Astoria, Queens on Saturday, October 30 for the sculpture garden's Halloween Harvest Festival. This festival includes NYC's second largest doggie costume contest, pumpkin carving and catapulting competition, artist-led workshops, and music by the Shinbone Alley Stilt Band. This is a free event and will take place from 12-5 p.m.

  • Village Halloween Costume Ball

    If you’re a fan of live music and theater, this is the Halloween event for you. This festival-like event will be held outdoors on East 10th Street on Sunday, October 31. There will be live cabaret, theater performances, food and music. Costumes are required and a costume competition will take place. Find out more information about the event here.
  • Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch

    Haven’t had the chance to go pumpkin picking this season? No worries! Head over to this year's Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch at the Queens Botanical Garden for a day of walking through pumpkin fields, magic shows, food vendors and a beer and wine garden. This festival will take place from October 16 through October 31. Tickets must be purchased online here.

  • Pumpkin Point 2021 at Governors Island

    Nolan Park in Governors Island invites you to its annual Pumpkin Point 2021 event to enjoy this Halloween season. Be sure to grab a pumpkin in exchange for a small suggested donation, and enjoy Halloween themed arts and craft activities, live music, story telling, live music and more. Learn more about the event here, which takes place from October 23-24 and October 30-31. Ferry tickets must be purchased online. 

  • The Uptown Party Down Listening Party

    Music lovers all around are welcome to attend local funk band The Uptown Party Down Listening Party Friday, October 29. Manhattan College’s very own Pep Band director, Jake Robinson will be performing in this free show at the Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2 at 8:30 p.m. Reservations must be made here
