The recognition allows the kinesiology department to provide a professional support network.

Manhattan College kinesiology departmentThe National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) has recognized Manhattan College’s kinesiology department as an Education Recognition Program (ERP) for the program’s ability to meet and continue to meet education guidelines recommended by the NSCA.

“This is an important recognition for the program,” says Karen Nicholson, Ph.D., dean of the School of Education and Health. “I commend Dr. Jeff Cherubini and Dr. Tedd Keating for the work they put into receiving this approval from NSCA.”

The recognition offers the College the opportunity to provide students a review course containing the most relevant exam content for tests to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist or certified personal trainer.

The ERP recognition also provides discounts for students to NSCA conferences, student membership opportunities, and premier access to scholarships, internships and assistantships in the strength and conditioning, personal training and other kinesiology-related fields.
