Money Magazine Ranks Manhattan College as Top Catholic College in the Country
Manhattan College recognized among the top 50 colleges that add the most value.
In Money Magazine’s second annual list of Best Colleges, Manhattan College ranked as the top Catholic college in the country and 41st among 736 schools nationwide. The list assesses colleges and universities that provide the most value for tuition dollars.
Manhattan College received a value-added grade of A, which highlights post-graduate earnings and the College’s mix of majors. “Once graduated, the students boast average salaries of $57,000 within five years,” according to Manhattan College’s school data section. “That’s $14,000 higher than what’s typical at similar schools, and more than $7,000 higher than the averages reported by graduates of nearby schools such as New York University and Fordham.”
Students also shared that “the curriculum is rigorous and demands dedication and encourages thought,” and “the best thing about this school is its close proximity to Manhattan, yet still retaining a safe, small, secure campus with a college feel.”
According to Money, which is a subsidiary of TIME, Inc., the publication screened out schools with graduation rates below the median and those facing financial difficulties, and the remaining colleges were ranked on 21 factors in three categories: educational quality, affordability and alumni earnings.
