ITE: The Institute of Transportation Engineers

Bridge being built over a river.

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a community of transportation professionals who work to enhance communities, grow the economy and improve the quality of life for millions of people through transportation. Members are involved in all stages of transportation engineering — from research, planning and design, to implementation, operation, policy development and management.

Student member benefits include:

  • a subscription to ITE Journal
  • access to professional networking events and online communities of experts
  • continuing education
  • job boards that connect you directly with employers
  • opportunities to understand sub-disciplines of the transportation engineering field

How to Join

ITE is open to all students, however engineering students interested in transportation will benefit most from membership. Sign up at the biannual activities and volunteer fair which happens at the start of each fall and spring semester, or contact the club directly at ite@manhattan.edu
