Gaelic Society

Gaelic Society photoMost notable is this group’s participation in New York City’s annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, during which the Gaelic Society marches down Fifth Avenue with the Manhattan University Alumni Society and the Pipes and Drums band.

The Gaelic Society organizes all the preparation for the University’s involvement in the parade and distributes University-branded sashes, scarves, and other items to Manhattan University students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends who wish to march. Its members also organize a St. Patrick’s Day luncheon in March, as well as an Irish Night — a celebration of food, music and other cultural traditions.

How to Join

Membership is open to all students. Sign up at the biannual activities and volunteer fair which happens at the start of each fall and spring semester, or contact the club directly at gaelicsociety@manhattan.edu.
