Rosemary Farley was in a Manhattan University mathematics classroom for the first time as a first-year student in an honors calculus class. From that moment on, mathematics became a focal point of her education. She credits the Manhattan University mathematics faculty with encouraging her to pursue a career in mathematics. She completed a Ph.D. at New York University and returned to the Manhattan University faculty several years later.
Dr. Farley is particularly interested in the use of technology in mathematics education. Most recently, she has been actively involved in SIMIODE, a community of practice for learning and teaching differential equations through modeling. She has designed and led multiple professional development sessions. These include both in-person conference minicourses & workshops and virtual week-long professional development OPEN Math workshops sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America. She has been named a Fellow of the International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics for her work in using technology in mathematics education. She is dedicated to the core principles of Lasallian schools and was honored to receive the Lasallian Educator of the Year award at Manhattan University.

At the present, I am particularly interested in the use of technology in the mathematics classroom. The introduction of technology into the mathematics classroom has created an opportunity for creative teaching methods. I am particularly proud of my participation in the Conferences on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics. This annual conference has been cited by the Mathematical Association of Americas as being a particularly important annual event. It is at these conferences that ideas are shared and information about successes and failures are disseminated. Each year, I learn so much.
