Overview

Professor Sweeney is a retired Architect-Engineer-Construction industry Executive. His initial career endeavors included design, permitting, and project engineering assignments for nuclear power plants and service as Office-in-Charge of military construction projects in Viet Nam with the U.S. Navy Seabees. After returning to civilian life, his diverse career saw him fill such challenging roles as the Port Authority’s Engineering Program Manager for the World Trade Center, V.P. of Architecture & Engineering, New York City School Construction Authority, and V.P. Parsons Brinckerhoff. 

He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Manhattan since 1995.
