Overview

Dr. Daniel Hochstein is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer (PE). He began his career at Manhattan University as an adjunct faculty member in 2010. He also received his B.S. from Manhattan in 2007 and his M.S. in 2008. Currently he holds the position of associate professor, and in the past, he has served as assistant professor, visiting assistant professor and visiting instructor at the University. He also held the position of adjunct associate research scientist at Columbia University in the Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics from 2014-2015.

His doctoral studies focused on predicting the thermal properties of cementitious materials. Hochstein teaches civil engineering courses in the areas of engineering mechanics and materials, probability and statistics, and structural design.
