Buenos Aires, ArgentinaSpend part of your summer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, examining economics, organizational systems, and institutional change within one of Latin America’s most dynamic urban centers. This Manhattan University faculty-led program explores how economic policy, management practices, and organizational structures shape public and private institutions. Through direct engagement with financial, governmental, cultural, and professional sectors, students analyze how local and global forces influence decision-making and organizational effectiveness in comparative perspective.

  • SOC 315 – Organizational Dynamics (3 credits)

This program introduces students to the principles of economics as applied to managerial and supervisory roles. While in Buenos Aires, students visit key institutions such as the Banco Central de la República Argentina, the Casa Rosada, and Calle Corrientes. Through meetings with local experts, participants gain insight into Argentina’s economic landscape and compare it with economic conditions in the United States.

In addition to economic theory, students examine organizational change through a sociological lens, analyzing both formal and informal functions within institutions using a systems-based approach. Discussions with professionals from the cultural, finance, and sports sectors provide practical perspectives on organizational operations and economic decision-making across industries. Through site visits, expert engagement, and applied analysis, students develop a deeper understanding of how economic and organizational systems operate in both local and global contexts.
