STEM Robotics and Aeronautics Camp

Please be advised that this program is on hold as of spring 2021 and not currently available. This page will be updated if/when the program resumes.

In collaboration with Tekintellect Inc

Our one-week camp offers an engaging, hands-on introduction to various robotics and aeronautics concepts while having FUN.

Participants apply problem solving techniques and enhance their learning abilities through LEGO® WeDo, LEGO® Technic and Drone flying aeronautics.

The camp takes place at our Manhattan University campus in Riverdale, New York.

Our one-week program runs from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (session 1) and from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm (session 2) from Monday to Friday and serves children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old.

LEGO® WeDo

Participants use cognitive-based thinking to assemble their robot and code it. Students are able to formulate ideas that make the robot run various possible action scenarios by working together using problem-solving techniques.

LEGO® Technic

This LEGO® set helps develop and encourage mechanic ability, technical aptitude, and versatility. Through these blocks, participants build detailed vehicles using their imagination and design skills. The vehicles move successfully as a result of design and strategy building. Students will be able to work individually and as a group.

Drone Flying Aeronautics

Through the use of drones, participants will understand the basics of aeronautics. In teams, students learn and have fun, while understanding aerodynamics, friction and similar concepts. Each camper will receive their own drone during the program and will keep it to take home after the last day of camp.
