What Will You Learn?
This program prepares students for various career pathways within the biopharmaceutical industry, including formulation and development of drugs and therapeutics, as well and processing and manufacturing of biopharma products. Students will take courses in areas such as bioprocess design, bioseparations, microbial and cell growth kinetics, and manufacturing and processing. Additionally, an understanding of the environmental, regulatory, safety, and compliance aspects plays a critical role in building up the skill set for a successful entry to this rapidly growing industrial sector.
Coursework
To attain the concentration in biopharmaceutical engineering, seniors will take four courses from the following as electives in their senior year:
