Manhattan College’s Annual Christmas Concert Takes Place on Dec. 6

The College’s Singers and Orchestra will conduct their seasonal performance, A Festival of Lessons and Carols.

On Sunday, Dec. 6, Manhattan College’s Singers and Orchestra will hold its annual Christmas musical performance, A Festival of Lessons and Carols. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. with preludes starting at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers on campus. The event is free and open to all, including the local community, students, faculty and staff.

A Festival of Lessons and Carols is an hour-long celebration that combines popular Christmas carols and Advent hymns with Scripture readings and contemporary musical arrangements. The College Orchestra will also accompany selections of choral music by Haydn, Handel and Rutter.

Following the concert, there will be a reception on the fifth floor of the Kelly Commons for all in attendance.
