Manhattan College’s Singers and Orchestra will hold their annual Christmas performance, A Festival of Lessons and Carols, on Sunday, Dec. 8 on campus. The concert will begin at 4:30 p.m. with preludes starting at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers, and the event is free and open to the local community.
A Festival of Lessons and Carols is an hour-long celebration that combines traditional Christmas carols and Advent hymns with Scripture readings and contemporary musical arrangements. A selection of choral music from Vivaldi, Handel, Mozart and Rutter will be featured, accompanied by the Manhattan College Orchestra.
Following the concert, Manhattan College will host a reception in Smith Auditorium. Tickets are not required but early seating is advised.
