Please note that while the Manhattan University International Admissions Office typically makes admission decisions on completed applications within one week, you may experience a significantly longer wait time to secure a student visa appointment in your home country. It is essential that you receive your admission letter and Form I-20 as early as possible.
Therefore, we strongly advise you to submit all application checklist items below promptly, with particular attention to the documents listed in Item 5.
International students must provide the following:
1. Completed Application

2. Application Fee
There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.
3. Official Transcripts
Applicants must submit an official secondary/high school transcript indicating courses completed and grades.
Transfer students must submit official college transcript(s) from all previously attended colleges/universities.
4. Proof of English Language Ability
Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate their English proficiency. This can be done in the following ways:
- TOEFL iBT-80
- TOEFL SHE- 80
- IELTS-6.5
- DUOLINGO-110
- SAT EBRW-550
- CEFR-Common European Framework of Reference- C1
- Successful completion of a US high school (all four years)
Or
- One year of Full-Time Study in a US Community College or University
- General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE): A or B in English from the British-based Exam Board
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Grade 5 at the Higher-Level English
- PTE (Person Test of English)- 60
If the primary language of your university or college program was English, you may qualify for a waiver.
Critieria for exempt applicants:
- If the applicant attended one academic year of study at a university or college in a country where English is the first official language (does not include IELP programs)
- If the applicant is currently enrolled at a U.S. institution and has completed a 100-level (or equivalent) English Composition course and at least 12 credit hours of 100-level (or equivalent) courses
- If the applicant was educated in one of these countries
