Our priority remains the health and safety of our community. To that end, all employees must be fully vaccinated and submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination. 

The only exception to this vaccination requirement is a documented and approved medical or religious exemption.

  • Why is Manhattan College requiring employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19?

    Manhattan College is requiring employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to protect the health and safety of our community and our neighbors.

    We will also be able to offer the entire Manhattan College community a more complete experience in the fall, including more event and activity offerings, increased in-person interaction and collaboration, a reduction in mask-wearing and COVID-19 testing.

  • What if I have had COVID-19 in the last 90 days?

    As per the CDC, you do not have to wait 90 days after exposure to COVID-19 to be vaccinated. You are still able to be vaccinated if you are no longer required to isolate, do not have symptoms, and have recovered from any acute illness.

    However, it is recommended that vaccination be deferred for at least 90 days for individuals who received convalescent plasma or monoclonal antibodies for treatment of COVID-19. Please consult with your medical provider for additional information and guidance.

  • Will I have to quarantine if I am fully vaccinated and have been exposed to COVID-19?

    If you are asymptomatic and have been fully vaccinated, you will not be required to quarantine after exposure to COVID-19. However, you will be required to monitor your symptoms for 14 days, and follow College COVID-19 protocols, including engaging in social distancing, wearing a face mask, completing the daily symptom tracker, and responding to contact tracing calls or emails. In addition, the College may require testing of any individuals, vaccinated or unvaccinated, exposed to COVID-19.

  • What happens if I do not get vaccinated?
    The COVID-19 vaccination is being conducted for the benefit and safety of all members of our community and is required for all employees. Employees not in compliance with this policy, will not be permitted to be on campus, may be required to take unpaid leave of absence, or may be subject to other appropriate action as determined by the College.
