Our priority remains the health and safety of our community. To that end, all employees must be fully vaccinated and submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

The only exception to this vaccination requirement is a documented and approved medical or religious exemption.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements FAQs

  • Why is Manhattan College requiring employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19?

Manhattan College is requiring employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to protect the health and safety of our community and our neighbors.

We will also be able to offer the entire Manhattan College community a more complete experience, including more event and activity offerings, and an increased in-person interaction and collaboration.

  • How do I request or renew a medical or religious exemption?
New or returning employees seeking or renewing a medical or religious exemption for the required COVID-19 vaccination should contact Eileen Armstrong, Director for Benefits and Compensation via email at or by phone at (718)-862-7393. Those who are granted an exemption will need to follow additional protocols, including weekly testing, to ensure the health and safety of our community.
  • Will I have to quarantine if I am fully vaccinated and have been exposed to COVID-19?

If you are asymptomatic and have been fully vaccinated, you will not be required to quarantine after exposure to COVID-19. However, you will be required to monitor your symptoms for 10 days, and follow College COVID-19 protocols, including engaging in social distancing, wearing a face mask, completing the daily symptom tracker, and responding to contact tracing calls or emails. In addition, the College may require testing of any individuals, vaccinated or unvaccinated, exposed to COVID-19.
