Campus Life Activities

Student clubs and activities are central to life and learning at Manhattan College. Partnering with student leaders and administrative offices, the College has created its “One Manhattan” strategy for engaging our community in maintaining a vibrant campus life while protecting against COVID-19. Toward that end, the College has implemented these measures:

  • The annual Club Fair will take place virtually, similarly to this past summer’s successful online Orientation
  • The College will guide and support clubs, organizations and interest groups in planning their activities using Google Groups, virtual space, social distancing and outdoor venues
  • Student Government will hold large meetings virtually, as it did with its town halls on racial injustice this past summer; due to its small size, the Executive Committee may hold meetings in person, with provision for students to attend at a distance
  • This year’s Quadstock may take place in Gaelic Park, marking off the field with circles to ensure social distancing
  • Performing Arts has developed a detailed proposal for safe rehearsals and performances
  • The College will employ effective social distancing rules for holding Sunday Mass on campus in the Chapel of De La Salle and His Brothers
  • Mass also may be “live-streamed” to accommodate those who are unable to visit the Chapel; the opening-year Mass may be held in a larger or outdoor space

The College also will continue to survey students regarding additional activities and programs they would like implemented in adherence to new protocols.
