The President serves as the chief executive officer of Manhattan University, providing strategic leadership across the institution. Working closely with senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, the President guides institutional planning, external partnerships, and campus initiatives that strengthen the Jasper community.

## Frederick Bonato, Ph.D.

**22nd President of Manhattan University**

Dr. Frederick Bonato serves as the 22nd President of Manhattan University, bringing more than 30 years of experience in higher education as both a scholar and senior administrator. He was named Interim President in 2024 and the 22nd President in 2025, and has provided steady, strategic leadership focused on institutional growth and student success.

A mission-driven leader, President Bonato is committed to expanding access to a Manhattan University education and supporting a diverse student community, including first-generation students and those with a long-standing Jasper legacy. His leadership emphasizes developing innovative academic programs, meaningful partnerships, and a student-centered approach to decision-making.

Grounded in the University's Lasallian Catholic values of respect, inclusion, and social justice, President Bonato is guiding Manhattan University forward with a focus on academic excellence, opportunity, and impact.
