Career Counseling/Peer Career Advisor (PCA)

We offer several different types of career counseling sessions to best suit your needs and your schedule:

## Career Counselors

Students can meet with a career counselor on an appointment or walk-in basis. Our counselors are certified to conduct formal career assessments (Myers-Briggs Type IndicatorÂ® and Strong Interest InventoryÂ®) and assist you on various career-related questions such as internship research, job application materials, job and graduate school opportunities, preparation for interviews, growing your professional community, salary negotiations, and more.

- You can make an appointment directly through JasperConnect. You may also call Career Development at [718-862-7224](tel:718-862-7224) or [email careerdevelopment@manhattan.edu](https://email%20careerdevelopment@manhattan.edu) to make an appointment with a career counselor.
- Appointments can be conducted via video chat or in-person.

### Counseling Appointment Cancellation/No Show Policy (Per Semester)

- Students with three (3) cancellations, regardless of time of notification, will receive a warning email. Students with four (4) cancellations or more, regardless of time of cancellation, will have appointment privileges suspended.
- Students with one (1) no-show, will receive a warning email. Students with two (2) no-shows, will have appointment privileges suspended.
- In both instances above, students should contact a CCD administrator at <careerdevelopment@manhattan.edu> or in Thomas 3.30 to speak with the administrator to have their privileges reinstated.

## Peer Career Advisors

Peer Career Advisors (PCAs) are exceptional students who are specially trained to assist their peers with the following:

- Resume/Cover Letter/Personal Statement Review
- Interview Preparation
- CCD Programs/Services/Online Resources
- Presentations for classes, residence halls, and student clubs

### When can I meet with a PCA?

PCA's are available for in-person meetings during the fall and spring semesters in Thomas Hall, Suite 3.30. Click here to make an appointment to meet with a PCA.

## Graduate School &amp; Fellowship Counseling

The Assistant Director of the [Center for Graduate School and Fellowship Advisement](/campus-life/gsfa "Graduate School & Fellowship Advisement")**,** Dr. Adriane Bilous, serves undergraduate, graduate and alumni from all 3 schools for individual appointment to discuss research opportunities, scholarships, fellowships, and graduate school application process. Appointments are available via Microsoft Teams, phone and in-person.
