# Manhattan University Climbs Six Spots in U.S. News & World Report's 2027 Best Colleges Rankings

 Manhattan University climbs six spots to No. 22 in U.S. News & World Report's 2027 Best Colleges rankings, earning recognition in four categories in the North.

    RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan University moved up six spots to No. 22 among the Best Regional Universities in the North in *U.S. News & World Report's* 2027 Best Colleges rankings, released today. The University also gained ground in Best Value and earned recognition in four categories overall, placing it among the region's best for private schools, value, and veterans.

Manhattan University's 2027 Best Colleges rankings in the Regional Universities North category:

- No. 22 in Best Regional Universities, up from No. 28
- No. 14 in Top Private Schools
- No. 29 in Best Value Schools, up from No. 35
- No. 30 in Best Colleges for Veterans, up from No. 38

The U.S. News Best Colleges rankings compare more than 1,700 institutions on up to 17 measures of academic quality and student success, including graduation and retention rates, graduate outcomes, faculty and financial resources, and peer assessments of academic reputation. Schools are grouped by Carnegie Classification so that comparisons are made among similar institutions, and Manhattan University is evaluated alongside its peers in the Regional Universities North category. Rankings data are drawn from U.S. News surveys aligned with the U.S. Department of Education and the Common Data Set, verified against sources including the College Scorecard, and certified by each school's top academic official before publication.

The six-place climb builds on Manhattan University's continued investment in academic quality, student outcomes and affordability across the Kakos School of Arts and Sciences, the O'Malley School of Business and the School of Engineering. As the University expands its academic offerings and its presence in the New York City region, the 2027 Best Colleges rankings offer an independent measure of that progress.
