Enzo Del Brocco, C.P., Ph.D., a Passionist priest, moral theologian, and President of Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in Chicago, for the next lecture in its **ARCHtalk** series. His talk, **“Reclaiming Ourselves: The Magnificent Human in the Age of AI,”** will take place on Monday, October 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Kelly Commons, Room 5.02 A/B, and is free and open to the public. Fr. Del Brocco was ordained in 1996. He holds a doctorate in Catholic Healthcare Ethics from Duquesne University, awarded *summa cum laude*. He also holds a licentiate in moral theology from Rome’s Accademia Alfonsiana and a bioethics certification from the National Catholic Bioethics Center. From 2014 to 2019, he served as a missionary in Haiti. Since then, he has been a COVID-19 hospital chaplain in the Bronx, advocated for Haitian causes at the United Nations, and taught ethics and human dignity at CTU. He writes regularly for the *National Catholic Reporter* and has appeared on *CNN*, *EWTN*, and *NPR*. In May 2026, Pope Leo XIV released his first encyclical, *Magnifica Humanitas*, on safeguarding human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence. The Riverdale community then called for a public forum on its themes, and this talk answers that call. Fr. Del Brocco will look at how AI should serve, rather than diminish, human dignity and work. These themes are central to Manhattan University’s identity as a Lasallian Catholic institution. > Marcy Peteroy-Kelly, Ph.D., Dean of the Kakos School of Arts and Sciences, stated, “ARCH gives our students technical fluency along with the ethical grounding to use it well.
